Deverse World Beta Dev Blog #3

Forest biome early development

After the desert biome, forest will be the next environment to be put in procedural generation. Most of the basic elements have been integrated and successfully generated. The concept we're heading towards is lustful isles where explorers will have to be a bit more observant for the resource collection, and more creative while building their own contents.

New flying mechanics

From our past dev blogs, everyone has come to know that flying will be a big part of Deverse World Beta gameplay. But at the time it was just a simple mechanic, flying from point A to B without any trouble. Honestly, that is too easy and simple. So we have upped the challenge. Now, players will have limited energy in their jetpack yet it will be rechargeable if you stop flying for some seconds. Additionally, superspeed flying ability has been added and will only be available to use when you have a full energy gauge.

New lootable items added

Here, you might wonder how you can fill the gauge to activate the superspeed flying ability. The answer is, there will be a bunch of energy items laid across the whole isle area for you to collect in order to fill up the energy bar. Once the bar is full, by activating the superspeed, your usual flight to another isle which usually takes 30 seconds will now be only 10 seconds or less.

What's more is that we have updated and improved the UI for a cleaner look and easier function navigation for the players.
